Circle, the issuer of USDC, has expanded into the tokenized commodities market with the launch of CircleMetals. The platform offers Gold (GLDC) and Silver (SILC) tokens, backed by COMEX reference markets and tradable 24/7 using USDC. This MOVE bridges traditional commodity trading with blockchain efficiency and transparency.

Gold traded at $4,479.53 per oz, while silver stood at $71.91 per oz at the time of reporting. Circle's foray into precious metals signals its ambition to diversify beyond fiat-backed stablecoins, capitalizing on growing institutional interest in real-world asset tokenization.

The initiative leverages Circle's regulatory expertise to bring credibility to a sector historically plagued by opacity. As tokenization gains momentum, Circle positions itself at the intersection of traditional finance and digital asset innovation.
